Madison and Joe : Garden of the Gods

Hot dang! I haven’t been this excited to post a set in a while. Madison and Joe, you two rock. Thanks so much for coming out to create something awesome. Also, huge thanks to nature for opening up the sky for a few hours while we shot. There is nothing quite like scouting under a blue sky only to be welcomed in by a snow storm as soon as the shoot starts. Enjoy!

tip:

Most of you here already know that education is at the heart of what I do but since I haven't really mentioned it lately, you all are always welcome to ask questions. I'm an open book! I have plenty of free education on my blog, a free Lighting class, and I also offer more in depth education (Editing + Consistency, Posing + Directing, Social Media, Style + Brand, etc) for those of you who want to dig in way more!

Hi! It was so neat to see these pictures as I live about a mile down the road from garden of the gods! how fun! I’ve taken pictures in the garden before, but always have these great ideas of what it will look like, but i never seem to find the right locations to capture what i want. I was curious if you remembered where in the garden you took these pictures, or more generally – what are some tips for what to look for when location scouting?

    • Hey Macy! Thank you. For these ones we wandered all over the place to find those higher lookouts where we could get views of the whole park!

    Hey! My wedding
Photos are being taken at Garden of the Gods in January this year! Curious what time of the day these were taken!?

    • Jonesy, these were about an hour before sunset during a snowstorm. Your wedding photographer should be able to help you pick a good time to shoot!
