Meredith Adelaide

Well, hot damn. This was fun. Took a little bit of a different direction towards quirk and I’m pretty pumped to shoot more work like this over the next few months after things slow down! Massive thanks to Meredith Adelaide, Rachel Burney, Katch Silva, and Ryan Longnecker for helping me make cool things.

 BEHIND THE SCENES

Below is a breakdown of this shoot’s concept, shoot planning process, and BTS. Dig in!

tip:

In landscapes like this that are dominated by certain colors (yellows/oranges in this case), my usual editing get's overtaken by whatever tones are overly present in the landscape. To fight that, I dig into the HSL (under the Tone Curve in LR) and desaturate whichever colors are overwhelming. In these, I brought down the yellows and oranges a bit to bring things back to normal. More on that here. Yay, easy fixes!
