Waverly

After moving, shooting, speaking, and flying across the country (and into other countries) every week for the past few months, this busy season has felt more like a busy year. After every busy season I always find myself craving simplicity and this shoot is a product of that. It was great to slow down a bit to focus on the smaller details in the frame instead of seeing the scene as a whole. It’s always important to remember that a forest is made up of trees. Thanks to Waverly for being a pleasure to work with and to Melina for the beautiful hair and makeup!

tip:

This was actually a homemade backdrop made from a painted 6x9 painter's canvas from Home Depot. If you want to make one you will need a canvas, paint, a roller, and an hour or two! If you end up making one and shooting with it, feel free to leave a link to your images from it in the comments!

What Was your lighting situation for this Stunning set?

    • Taylor and Adam, I shot these outside in all natural light. They were in the shade with a reflector bringing some more light in. That’s it!
