You probably noticed that I had these two write love notes to each other (if you didn't you might need to get your eyes checked). I'm an introvert and I spent the first 5 or so years of my career trying to use my words to draw emotions out of couples. I tried to make them laugh, tried to get them to connect, etc. It drained me and didn't work as well as I hoped. Lately, I'm worrying less and less about getting them to connect with me and more about getting them to connect with each other. That's where the love notes come in. Instead of me trying to talk them into connecting on a deeper level, I ask them to write down moments they were proud of the other. Once they start reading them to each other, that connection comes naturally. Win!
