Capturing great moments isn't always about shooting the pose that you direct them into. In fact, most of the time it isn't. Shooting the in-between moments has always created some of my favorite and most emotionally rich images. The moment right before or after a kiss that you direct them into. The laugh that comes after a moment where they feel silly. All of those is where their real and natural emotions come out.To make the most of it, encourage those moments. I always let my couples know that I love shooting those moments so even though I might direct them into a kiss, I don't want them to stop and look at me after. I want them to just look at each other and enjoy it. For those of you interested in digging WAY further into how I pose and direct, I just launched my new favorite self paced class on
Posing + Directing!
looks so good! colorado is the best.
Great pictures! Thank you.
So so Good! The location/background made for some killer shots filled with emotion. Your work has always been an inspiration for my own shoots. Did you rock the 35L on this one? Great job on the processing too. I need to stop rambling but the set is so fan-freakin-tastic!
Thanks so much Michael! I did use the 35L and 50L for this set.
Just to begin, Oh Man I love your work! A couple days ago I found your work via my finnish friend. Now I am truly hooked. I really appreciate your way to do this stuff, stunning emotions, beautiful angles and what a feeling on those sets overall.
The way you open your secret weapons of posing, just gotta love it.
I´d love to get to your workshops, but it´s a bit long road from Finland 😉
You rock Ben, heck yeah!
Thanks man!
Seriously stunning! Love this.
